Huyton Sports and Arts Centre for Learning, Knowsley

Materials: Bespoke plastic, cable (3 hangings spanning 450cm x 450cm and 500cm, 400cm, 300cm H)

Stella created these three colourful hangings through collaboration with the centre’s students, staff and local community. The ‘Skywords’ artwork reflects the school’s ethos using words important to learning and achievement. Each triangular hanging spans 4.5m and has 25 drops of up to 5m in length. The translucency of the material is highlight by the high levels of natural light from the glazed roof and large windows.
