Acorn Health Care Centre, Accrington

Materials: Bespoke plastic, cable (skylight area 320x320cm), bespoke plastic, laminated wood (45cm diameter)

This suspended artwork uses the natural daylight from the skylight by the main reception area. Over 2,300 sculptural plastic forms hang from 121 microcables, filling the skylight and form an inverted pyramid. A complimentary series of 12 circular wall pieces use the same bespoke coloured plastic. Stella worked with community members and local school to contribute to the designs, shapes and colours of the bespoke plastic.
